I came across these pictures on Flickr which I liked. They are vintage photos, ostensibly of gay couples from the last couple of hundred years.

I love old photos and there’s simply got to be a great story behind every single one of those. I wish we had the stories to go with the photos.

Probably due to the age they lived in, the photos are mostly quite unnatural and contrived….especially the last one.
Still fascinating though. Thanks for posting them.

I love old photos like this. They always remind me that we aren’t the first gay generation, just the most free. A good antidote when I get too wrapped up in my own life.

Daphne – I also love old photos. Yup, a story behind each one, would be fascinating to know more.
SB – yeh, were very contrived back then, plus you had to sit still for ages due to very slow shutter speeds. I like them though, probably because they’re so old.
Sven – well said!! Sometimes it feels like we’re the first generation but seeing pics like this is definitely a reminder that we’re not.
