Some more info. And a New York crime scene photo I posted a while back.

Wow, these are so good. Do you know what they’d been had for? Poor May Russell, so frightened and caught for eternity with dreadful hat-hair to boot.
I adore portraits in all forms, and such atmospheric ones are a real find.
LOVE these photos! That last dude looks pretty bad-a.
I love when you post old photos btw.
Rattling On – glad you liked them! I have now added the crimes (where known) based on the source page I found them on.
Enrico – thank you!
Gangs, drugs, pimps and murder…100 years and what’s changed!?!
Rattling On – my thoughts exactly!!
The last guy has the most terrifying eyes I have ever seen! The guy right above him looks like a dorkmaster nerdfestival! You know he was someone’s wiener-smoker in the big house!
Josh – yeh, he does look kind of scary I agree. And the guy above him certainly does look nerdy! The class swot who fell in with a bad crowd I think!
Wish I could manage portraits like these. Maybe I’m not mixing with the right kind of people.
Colleen – I know what you mean!
superb photographs..i wish mugshots now would look like that, i’d be willing to pose for it
Any idea as to what type of camera was used?
