I love you for this!
I’ve never seen that clip and although the song was written before I was born, it was around all my small childhood and to me is essence of the late fifties. And I SO longed to grow big enough to wear a dress like that – – but by the time I did, it was all Sixties shift dresses. Sighhhhhhh.
Lula – glad you like it, is an old favourite!
Daphne – I have a soft spot for the 50s, much less so the 60s or 70s. I like the old-fashioned-but-trying-to-be-modern aspect to that decade.
